Guiding Philosophy

Handmade

Drawing inspiration from nature, I make each item by hand in my studio in Pennsylvania. Handmade means each piece varies slightly in size, color and other details, bringing unique, organic beauty to a carefully curated home.

Functional

Functional ceramic arts encompass a wide range of pottery that serve practical purposes in our daily lives, from mugs and bowls to plates and vases. However, beyond their utilitarian function, these pieces represent a unique blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and sustainability to celebrate and elevate everyday experiences.

Small Batch

Creating functional art in small batches engages me in the creative process and allows me to focus on each piece; I am not in a rush to produce pieces to sell. I typically have 4 Kiln Opening sales per year (sometimes more if time allows) to coincide with the beginning of each season. This means that I do not have extra inventory, what is posted in my shop is what is available and when items are sold, they are gone.

My Story

I’ve always been drawn to making pottery, it’s the ability to take a hunk of clay and make something that is not only functional but bears the marks of its creator and eventually takes on the memories of its owner; like that favorite mug you reach for in the morning.

MugShot Gallery

I hope you enjoy using your new pottery as much as I've enjoyed creating it! I invite you to send me a picture of you using your new piece of pottery and I will upload it to the Mug Shot Gallery.
